Want 2 Learn? Hybrid Plugin Electrical Vehicles and eMobility become more and more popular (incl. eBoards). Forensics delivers evidence for geospatial mobility timeline, delays and behavior patterns. Lets start with the XPeng Internet Car. To become familiar try to learn until Mo, then I will explain.

Happy Learning -)

The XPeng Internet car as the NextGen of the model Identity X will come in 2019. But the pure Identity X is on sale as G3 'now'. For collab learning the XPeng Indentity X G3 is aka XPeng G3 (or copycat Tesla Model 3).

12 ultrasonic sensor, 9 cams, flat front radar and rooftop openable cam system (no LiDAR seen).

The ultrasonic sensors have an average view angle and range of…

You dont know? Find out today -)

The actual number of sales (in China) will be probably (since it will start being actually built and delivered presumably at the end of 2018) astounding
https://www.autoblog.com/2018/04/11/xiaopeng-motors-xpeng-g3-ev-china/
setting the probability of seeing one on the road outside China in the next 3 (three) years in the order of magnitude of 1/10^53, and having the opportunity of investigating an actual crash or crime involving one around 1/10^72.

No digital forensic investigator can call himself up-to-date without a full and intimate knowledge of the systems of the Xpeng G3,

I am actually surprised no university has (yet) put up a specific course based on that car.

Ultrasonic sensors (UltSens) often operate at 40 resp. 48kHz frequency and a range of 0.2 - 4.5m and have operlapping viewangles. They are not specifically precisely assembled into the car skin and have mainly the task to sense distance (for objects, collisions, parking space).

The XPeng G3 has a width of 1818mm and there are 4 UltSens looking each in the main driving directions. Try to estimate the location of each of them.

#1 Over which protocol run the UltSens to which control unit or gateway?
#2 If a cam reports different than an UltSens how does the gateway decides?
#3 What signal indicates a damaged or dead UltSens?
#4 What material will blind-off (e.g. sticked-over) an UltSens?

If you lack to find infos about the XPeng G3 take Tesla Model 3 as approximation.

Next the Rooftop Cam Box RCB. What antennas do you expect to be built-in? What pros and cons will this openable construction bring (imagine the specific continental specs like lions in africa, cola in the U.S. and spaghetti in Italy (jacLand)?

… and spaghetti in Italy (jacLand)?

Spaghetti are not an issue, generally speaking, the real trouble are tagliatelle or fettuccine, as they are thicker and heavier besides usually longer. (

BTS Back To Subject -)

Having access to the eMeter of a property we figured out the timestamp of the last time a missed HPEV was charged.

Has anybody investigated the timestamp of sunk of a flooded Tesla S P100 (Texas)?

Next page. An eBike accident not of our corps is a Chance To Train CTT. If - and then only - try to answer the following questions.

http//www.20min.ch/diashow/242549/big/EE7925BCED27F3F9EB29EF8792F66312.jpg

#1 What brand, model and version of eBike?
#2 What firmware version on the eBike controller?
#3 What eMotor version?
#4 What eMotor controller firmware version?
#5 Was the eBike consuming or recuperating (generating) electric power?
#6 What speed was the last before accident?
#7 Does the eBike has a built-in eSIM (eUICC)?
#8 What battery type and capacity is built-in?
#9 What evidence in addition can be collected from in-lay electronics?
#10 What additional visual indicators can you recognize?

Happy learning eMobility -)

Rolf,

Is this device a location from which user data and vehicle data is stored and could be collected from (related to these sensor based systems you describe above)?

http//www.lannerinc.com/news-and-events/latest-news/lanner-introduces-next-generation-v3-series-fanless-rugged-vehicle-gateway-controllers

"V3S aims at video surveillance, recording and analytics."

This particular model has a removable drive bay and apparently runs Linux.

Dont think so. You better look for a high-performance IOPS datalogger with fast! ints. Requires high performance Ryzen or min Xeon based. Think about high power consumption and cooling tower with out-car layer.
