eDiscovery Manager, London, circa £80k

The Role
The eDiscovery team is responsible for advising on and assisting with the identification, preservation, collection and processing of client data and managing the electronic data during review and analysis, production and presentation phases.

This role will focus on internal client relationships and the delivery of day-to-day case management and will include people management and resourcing responsibility, reporting to the Head of eDiscovery.

Key responsibilities
• Identifying and understanding client needs, recommending technical solutions to deliver a high level of client service
• Delegating to more junior team members where appropriate and to be proactive about consistency and quality control
• Executing tasks on cases with a high level of attention to detail
• Developing, maintaining and continuously improving best practice eDiscovery processes and workflows
• Advising on eDiscovery processes and protocols, including communicating with Client Technology/Litigation Support representatives of clients and/or opposing law firms on disputes
• Assisting with building a cohesive, high performing team, including recruitment, professional development and supervision
• Line management responsibility for eDiscovery team members including performance management and pastoral care
• Coordinating team resources required to manage projects in an efficient and cost effective manner
• Engaging the appropriate team members to trouble-shoot problems and to liaise with the software providers to resolve issues in a timely and effective way
• Effectively managing the relationship with third party partners to ensure the highest quality and most cost effective solutions are delivered to clients
• Promoting the ALT offering to clients, including by the delivery of consistently high-quality work
• Delivering presentations to internal and external audiences when required
• Maintaining effective and productive working relationships with ALT colleagues and HSF legal teams

Qualifications and skills
• If not a graduate, then the candidate must demonstrate at least five years' operating at a senior level in the eDiscovery field
• Experience working within a similar team at the required level
• Proficiency in Case Management Software, such as Recommind Axcelerate or Relativity
• Excellent understanding of the legal framework of eDiscovery, existing protocols and practices
