Digital Forensic Investigator – Dyfed-Powys Police Headquarters, Carmarthen.–
Salary £24,273 to £31,365 -
Full time - 37 hours a week – Permanent.

We are excited to offer multiple opportunities to join the digital communications and cybercrime unit (DCCU) which was formed in October 2014 and provides a specialist infrastructure to investigate and prevent crime through the use of digital technology. It consists of:
•Digital forensic investigator, who specialise in getting, processing and evaluating data from digital devices. They are experts in their field and are trained to use a variety of tools to ensure the best evidence is identified and presented.
•Police officers trained with digital media investigative skills. They are a central point of contact for all queries relating to cyber and digital policing, from providing dedicated investigative support for serious or major crime, to advice and guidance in investigations where the input of a digital investigator would be of benefit
•Network investigators, who assist investigations where the internet might have been used to commit crime.

Our collaboration with Get Safe Online provides our communities with real time information on current and emerging threats online and through social media.

Dyfed-Powys Police are passionate about safeguard people living, working and visiting the Counties of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys. It has a population of over 488,000, that is significantly boosted with tourists each year, and covers a land mass of over half of Wales.
