Fusion Forensics is a leading provider of cyber and digital forensic services in the UK for governmental departments, law enforcement, defence lawyers and commercial organisations. Fusion specialises in Computer and Cyber Forensics, Incident Response, Compliance Services, Training and Consultancy, Mobile Phone Forensics, Cell Site Analysis, Audio/Video Forensics, Chip-Off/JTAG/ISP Forensics, Data Recovery, Open Source Internet Investigations and Expert Witness Services.

Senior Cyber & Digital Forensics Analyst

This full time primary role is to capture, process, analyse and present digital evidence in support of the defence, prosecution and commercial organisations. Providing expert witness services in court cases, you will have a field-based commitment and be expected to lead in digital evidence recovery and examinations.

Salary will be paid commensurate to experience

Description of Tasks:
• Imaging and extracting data from digital devices and producing reports and updating case management as required
• Provide incident response capabilities to clients in support of senior consultants;
• Provide security advice and guidance to clients who have suffered a data breach;
• Stay up-to-date with all relevant cyber incident news and attack trends.
• Dealing with Customer enquiries, generating and progressing new business leads internally and externally;
• Provide advice, guidance and support regarding technical forensic matters;
• Keeping up to-date with new digital devices & techniques;
• Mentoring junior team members as required;
• Training external clients with Fusion courses;
• Providing support for a 24/7, 365 forensic service;
• Managing own workload effectively and supporting junior members of the team;
• Provide assistance and support for Fusion’s IT infrastructure and network;
• Supporting Fusions’ ongoing work towards attaining ISO 17025 accreditation.

Responsible to the Digital Forensics Manager for the timely and accurate processing of digital devices. Deputising as the Digital Forensics Manager when required.

Academic/Technical Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or extensive experience/certification in cyber / digital forensics or a related field.

Attributes and Experience:
• Excellent understanding of IT and Network Technology;
• At least 3 years current commercial, legal and police casework experience;
• Successful management of digital forensic investigations;
• Proficiency with current forensic software such as FTK, EnCase; IEF, NetAnalysis, NUIX Proof Finder, Forensic Explorer; Familiarity with Windows, Macintosh and Linux/UNIX operating systems;
• Familiarity with a wide range of mobile phones and computers;
• Proven knowledge of Cyber Forensics and Incident Response practices;
• Fundamental knowledge of both live and offline acquisition techniques;
• Fundamental knowledge of memory analysis;
• Experience preparing cases for court;
• Experience of giving expert evidence in court;
• Previous Team Management experience;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Previous experience of extracting data from digital devices;
• MS Excel/Word;
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.

Other Requirements:
Team player with leadership abilities;
Good interpersonal skills;
Able to work under pressure and on own initiative;

Security Clearance:
Due to the nature of the role applicants will be required to be security vetted CRB and CTC; therefore applicants must be currently and permanently resident in the UK and have been for at least 3 years.
