Curious about Salaries Posted to Job Vacancies

Post Posted: Feb 27, 19 19:48

I've often wondered about the salary levels posted in most of the British Job Vacancy positions.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but they seem unsustainably low, particularly in a high cost areas such as London and surroundings. I'm not talking "low-ish", I mean by 200-400 percent?

I'm not trying to be a troll, and yes I understand pounds verses dollars. My limited experience in the UK lead me to the general conclusion that "things" cost approximately the same there as in the US in terms of numbers, i.e. a TV there might be 400 pounds while the same TV in the US would be 400 dollars (more or less). The biggest difference seems to be much more expensive housng in the UK, making the question all the more pertinent.

I probably should not have posted this. Embarassed

Why not? Question
I find it personally a well thought out and valid post Smile (besides being a valid doubt).

And the matter was already touched in the past:

and some new observation comments would be welcome.
