Encase/open text

My encase license recently expired and I have made numerous attempts to contact Open text without success. Emailed the rep that last renewed my license and left numerous VM in her box as well as the sales dept box. Getting absolutely response. I saw no contact info for tech support. Is this the end of Encase since they were bought out? Due to this poor support, I’m no longer interested pursuing them.

There are plenty of alternatives that have better support
X-ways, Magnet AXIOM, GetData Forensic Explorer

Unless you have a real need to stick with Encase (ie inbuilt encryption support) it seems like a lot of people are moving on from them.

Hi Cmore, first of all I would like to apologise for the experience you have encountered. I can assure you that the Guidance Software now Opentext product line is here to stay and is being developed further. The way that Opentext is structured and how they do things is different than you previously experienced. For example, there is techsupport but you have to setup an account under My Support (https://www.opentext.com/support) to gain access. Once setup that this where you will be able to get access to the Knowledge base, forums raise tickets and will give you access to livechat or by phone. From your post you described leaving VM for sales and no one returning your call. Well the person whom you were trying to contact no longer works for Opentext and although the sytems in place should have had someone else pick up her calls and messages, clearly this did not happen for you. The person you require is the Forensic Sales Manager, Arvinder Garcha ([email protected]). He will be able to address any of your needs and requirements.
