It's the Workstation/Investigator version.
Not bothered with support yet in the hope someone could give a quick answer (got enough tickets open already for more complicated issues so thought I'd spare them another for this!)
Thanks Dan - I think I understand most of it
(At least enough to know I can probably turn it off anyway!)

NUIX Text Summarisation
This may be a dumb question but just in case someone can provide a quick simple answer.......
What does enabling text summarisation in NUIX do!? (where do I view this summary, what is the point of it, especially compared to the normal indexed text view in NUIX, etc).
Been using NUIX for ages and never known what this is for!
(and the manual tells me nothing obviously)

Re: NUIX Text Summarisation
Not a dumb question at all, but something to consider...
To which Nuix product are you referring? I can guess that you're not referring to Adaptive Security, as that's an endpoint product. However, Nuix has Workstation/Investigator, which competes with the likes of EnCase, etc. There're the ediscovery products, and there is even Nuix Voice, the transcription product.
As such, an understanding of to which product you're referring might make it easier for someone to respond.
As Nuix requires licensing, have you considered reaching to your sales rep or SE?
> (and the manual tells me nothing obviously)
As you've been using the product for ages, have you brought this up with your sales rep?

Re: NUIX Text Summarisation
I didnt know this either,
My Nuix manual references it, but does not define its purpose.
I did carry out a very complicated google search of : nuix text summarisation and found the following. (Apologies for the jalcaz style of sarcasm)
HOW DOES NUIX DO IT?
Nuix’s strength is search technology; our indexes are robust, reliable and return consistent results. This is powerful when you know what to ask for. To take advantage of this, though, you need to know where to begin. Enter topic modeling. Nuix performs topic modeling using a common topic modeling algorithm: Latent Dirichlet allocation.
The key to generating good topics is text summarization. Nuix can automatically summarize text during processing by extracting the five most important sentences from each document. Importance is determined by a combination of attributes, including the position and length of the sentence.
Using these summaries, Nuix generates topics for an individual document or a collection of documents. Each topic is represented by seven statistically significant words that have been extracted from the items. You can access these topics dynamically or store them in each item’s custom metadata database for future use.
