So I have encountered something weird recently and was wondering if anyone has seen something like this before. A client brought me an iPhone 4s, she says that the screen was damaged, so she went to a local repair shop to get it replaced. After the replacement, the iPhone would not recognize her password. It would be on, she can see her screensaver, but the password would not be accepted. The screen replacement guy says he did not change the password.

Any ideas? Can a screen replacement with iPhone 4s trigger a password change/reset?

Thank you

My guess would be the screen wasn't properly replaced and that is causing the issue. If she gave it to them without giving them the pin they couldn't properly test it to ensure everything was correct. In turn, now when she enters her pin it doesn't work because the screen is the issue.
