I am trying to image a Dell Latitude 5290 2 in 1 tablet using FTK Image version 4.1.1.1 but it does not recognize the drive after connecting to the write blocker on my FRED . Access Data support told me that making an image requires putting the tablet into some kind of special "mode" so that Windows will see it as an external drive but they were not able to help me. I have searched Google with no luck. If anyone can point me in the right direction on how to get the image, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I imaged one of these recently. In order to image it, you will have to go into the BIOS and enable the following options
Enable legacy boot option ROMs.
Enable Legacy External Devices.
Enable Attempt Legacy Boot.

Also, you will need a USB to USBc connector. I tried to image using a hub attached to the USB port, and that did not work. Once I plugged in my imaging tool with the USB to USBc connector, I was able to boot to my USB. It will recognize the drive you image to when it is plugged into the USB port.

I did turn off secure boot, but someone told me I might not have had to do that.

Hope this helps.
