on some mobile phones,

Whatsapp warns us to set up date-time settings, and then it allows us to see conversations on seized phones.

and the also sometimes it gives message that we should update the latest version. But as these phones are seized phones and We should not alow them to get connected to internet to update the Whatsapp version..

Do you have any idea about it?

There is work around for Whatsapp version update, if you are allowed to change date and time.
Go to application setting and check which version of Whatsapp installed on that specific device, Google the release date of that specific Whatsapp version. Adjust the date and time same as release date. e.g. Whatsapp version 2.19.81 released date 21 March 2019, ( your device date and time might be 6/11/2019 ) change the date and time manually and set to 28 March 2019. restart the device, it will works.

Whatsapp source code do validation on server time, so it could identify if it is outdated or not, i have reverse engineer the obfuscation and it do this now. Check.
