Many of its professionals are both court-qualified and court-appointed experts. The Montreal office is seeking a Senior Computer Forensics / Electronic Discovery Consultant to assist with computer forensics investigations and large scale electronic discovery projects.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct in-depth computer forensics investigations including gathering, analyzing and interpreting digital data
Utilize proprietary utilities and leading-edge forensic software
Assist with the planning and execution of complex electronic discovery assignments
Maintaining chain of custody of electronic evidentiary equipment and data
Conducting complex Internet investigations
Business development
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Designations such as EnCE, CISSP, Security+
Undergraduate degree with a Major(s) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or Business
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in an investigative/legal environment
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
Technical:
Advanced understanding of computer forensics principles, electronic discovery processes, Internet protocols and networking systems, including TCP/IP, DNS, WHOIS, IRC, FTP, HTTP, P2P and NNTP
Database development and administration skills, such as Excel, Access, SQL/MYSQL preferred
Application, system, and/or web services programming, such as Java, Perl, PHP, C#, C++, .net, and/or HTML preferred
Knowledge of, and proficiency with, information systems, security concepts and methods
Other:
Team player
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to learn new technologies and protocols and adapt to the changing, online environment
Ability to conceptualize investigative strategies and solutions and present to clients in a clear and concise manner
