SOLO 4 vs. Dossier - opinions?

Post Posted: Jul 13, 11 17:56

Hi All,

I currently own/use a SOLO4 for performing onsite acquisitions. It's served me well so far and I don't really have any major complaints to speak of. That said, I'm now in the market for a second device and I'm wondering if I should go with a 2nd SOLO4 or get the Dossier to add variety to my arsenal.

Would anyone be willing to share their feedback on the Dossier and also the Dossier as it compares to the SOLO4 if you've used both?

Thanks much in advance!

I reviewed the Solo 4 for Forensic Focus www.forensicfocus.com/...iew-290410 but decided to invest instead in the Logicube Dossier which in my testing I found to be faster. I've used the Dossier on dozens on on-site acquisitions without fail. Be aware that the Solo 4 has built in SAS support whereas it's an additional add on for the Dossier. They're both good devices but I would suggest you get a Dossier on loan from your supplier/ a friend first so you can test it for yourself.
