I have installed SIFT 2.1 to a machine.
I oepned a parition via loopback from a full drive image. (dd)
I was able to generate a timeline using TSK.
When I try to create a case in PTK, everything 'seems' to be fine. When I select the Image Indexing operations' for timeline generation, file type, and keyword (no hashing)
It shows the 'Performed on time/dates, but the cpu stays at zero, memory usage doesn't increment, and nothing seems to actually happen.
I waited overnight, and started a new case, this time only select timeline and file type.
Same results.
I looked at the logs, and the logs seem to indicate the the operations began.
File type indexing launched on image /var/www/ptk/images/cha_154_cha_154.001 /var/www/ptk/images/cha_154_cha_154.002
Multiple indexing launched on image /var/www/ptk/images/cha_154_cha_154.001 /var/www/ptk/images/cha_154_cha_154.002
Timeline indexing launched on image /var/www/ptk/images/cha_154_cha_154.001 /var/www/ptk/images/cha_154_cha_154.002
Has anyone actually tried PTK from SIFT 2.1 yet and seen if it works?
Thanks for any advice.
