Digital Forensics Technician - Raleigh, NC

We are looking for a Digital Forensics Technician to join our team in Raleigh, NC.

If you are looking for a career in Digital Forensics, have the aptitude and desire to learn the craft, both from experienced examiners and independently through guided self study, then we may be a good fit for you.

We prefer 5 years minimum experience in information technology with practical hands on experience performing support services, building and configuring computers and servers, experience troubleshooting various operating system issues, with a focus on Windows Desktop and Server OSs.

Experience, education or training in computer forensics or digital forensics is preferred.

We train our Digital Forensic Technicians in all areas prior to promotion to Examiner, including cell phone forensics, computer forensics, complex criminal and civil case examinations, and GPS forensics, case reporting, expert witness testimony, ethics, evidence handling, chain of custody and media collections. Must be willing and able to handle cases involving both civil and criminal matters, on either side of the case.

As part of the training program, DF Technicians are trained internally and prepared to sit for the EnCE exam.

During their training period, DF Technicians are required to contribute by performing complex IT support for MS Server OSs, Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and Terminal Servers, desktop support and software support.

An excellent background in installation and setup and maintenance for various network device support, network security, managed services, firewalls, routers, wired and wireless networks is required.

You must have excellent written and oral communications skills, as well as excellent public speaking and presentation skills.

We use CellBrite UFED, EnCase, EnCase Portable, Internet Evidence Finder, and various other forensic tools in our lab.

Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check and sign a non-disclosure agreement as a condition of employment.
