Connection between mobile hotspot on IOS and WiFi connection on Macbook.

Dear community,

Does anyone know how the internet connection works between macOS and iOS? For example, when my iPhone is charging, I pick up my MacBook, open the Wi-Fi connections, and I don’t always see my phone. Sometimes it shows up, but I can’t connect—it gives an error. Other times, it connects without any issues.

If I manually turn on the Mobile Hotspot on my iPhone each time, the connection works fine. But ideally, if both devices are linked to the same profile, the connection should be stable, right? Shouldn’t it work without having to open the control center on the iPhone and enable the Hotspot every time?
