under harassment is this possible?

cry hello guys , i do not know if you may be able to help but here goes, i was recieving horrible text messages , threats and personnal attacks. I know who is sending these and after visit to the police station the man doing this has been issued with a warning , anymore contact to me and he would be arrested.

i was awoken this morning by a phone call from someone who had seen an advert and replied to it through craigslist, without going into detail it was vulgur and was inviting men to my house for rough ……. although my personal info was not on the advert when the guy replied to it my name address postcode and an invite to come straight in was given to him.

obviously concerned i found the add on craigslist . I in an effort to get as much info as poss quickly set up an email account and messaged , again a reply i recieved gave full info, full adress phone number and the like. shortly after this correspondance the add was taken down by whom ever posted it.. i contatced the police who came round and were able to view the info but not the original add. i was hoping that he police may have been able to get info from this to pinpoint where this had come from, im kinda sure they can but when they called mem back they seemed reluctant , citing public interest and the law been an a*s, having to wait for something bad to happen before they can act up on it. i think it is inpart down to money and the effort it would take, i dont know to be honest. i guess im asking is it possible, how hard is it, what would it cost etc. I am in fear aswell, not just for myself, i have a 12 year old daughter that cannot now be left alone in my house. Just writing this makes me scared for her, hopefully there is something can be done, thankyou to anyone who takes the time to read..
