Ok, I've been looking at the prefetch files in Vista and have come accross an interesting thing down deep in the file. I know that WFA and others will find the embeded date and time stamp in the prefetch file. I was looking down farther in the file where the related file names are stored and found a second date and time stamp. Does anyone know what this is for? Also does anyone know exactly what the file names down around the "bottom" of the file are there for? I've found most to be dll's so I believe they are necessary to run the program, but was wondering if someone could confirm.

Try Dependency Walker or some similar tool.
