I have an XRY logical extraction of an iPod 4 (A1367) running iOS 6.1.3. I am looking to find out the reason for videos being present with the title capturedvideo.MOV on the device, these all seem to be present within the SMS attachments. My first thoughts are that these are videos which have been captured by opening the camera from within an iMessage conversation rather than the camera app and that is why they have this naming convention rather than a IMG_0123.MOV. Although there does seem to be duplicates of some within the the Camera Roll with an IMG_0123.MOV title.
Could anyone clarify whether they have had any previous experience of this?
Many Thanks

Look at the data in the 'MOOV' atom. It often gives details of the camera used
