Is there anyone out there that owns XRY software that can convert phone extractions so I can import them into Magnet Axiom??

Thank you, I'm aware of that process. That's why I asked if anyone had the software and could convert the files for me 🙂

Oh, I see.

Don't have it personally, but I imagine you'd get more responses, if you let people know why / the circumstances of whatever it is you're doing / who you work for / is this to form part of some legal matter / paid or not / etc.

Fair enough. I am a Digital Forensics Analyst and I currently have a murder case where the prosecution has provided me with Discovery containing five phone extractions all in the proprietary XRY format. I am preempting the response from the prosecution letting me know that the XRY format is all that is available to them and they won't convert it. This will be a paid job for anyone that can help me out.

So you are just looking for someone with Axiom?

If it was me and that was the format I was provided with, I would ask the Judge to make them put it in another format as XRY is not .pdf or .doc, some other widely used format and I doubt it would pass the "readily acceptable standard."

Although, I can't see being an examiner in the US for criminal cases and not having Axiom though.

@armresl, I'm looking for someone with XRY software... I have Axiom. Apparently you can convert the extractions to a format that Axiom can recognize using XACT (part of XRY). I will be asking the prosecution to supply the extractions in a usable format, but from experience, it can be a difficult process to get results in a timely manner.

Good luck...the prosecution typically has to provide you with copies of the evidence.  They don't have to provide you with the way of viewing it.

You can download the free XAMN Viewer from our open web site which can be used to analyze and export the data. Simply go to msab dot com and click Downloads at the top!

Hopefully that's what you were looking for!

The prosecutions provides what they got, if they modified a single bit of it, the evidence is void!

I wonder if with XAMN Viewer you could export the full file system to a folder ?! 🙂 I presume Axiom would be able to read that for further analysis.

Hopefully there will be a standard for forensic formats once... far far away... in another galaxy... maybe ?!
