Oxygen Dongle not detected on new macbook pro

Hi everyone, I'm new here

I have an issue with my oxygen dongle.
my institution uses Macbook pro, and they replaced my 2014 Macbook pro with the new one. the one with touch bar and usb-c ports only.

the first thing I did was installing windows 10 on bootcamp, drivers, oxygen detective, encase, etc.

encase working normally and the dongle works well, but when I try to open oxygen detective, my laptop seems to have difficulties identifying the dongle. It just won't open.

my questions are
1. is it because the USB-c adapter is "3rd party"? I was pretty sure this is the case, but somehow I doubt it because encase dongle is working normally.
2. is it because the dongle is broken and need to be replaced? I doubt it as well because it works normally on my old macbook or any other workstations
