I received 4 digits passcode (?) to iPhone but when I turn on iPhone on the top of screen is text “Enter passcode “ with line six dots and buttons from 0-9. Is it possible using 4 digits passcode when on the screen is line six dots ? (mobile devices aren’t my main area of activity)

in my experience the number of dots up the top indicates the number of digits required for the passcode
so if there's 4 dots, then it's a 4 digit code

I have a 9 digit pin on my android since it allows setting that (probably longer), so YMMV.

The dots are suggesting that you got at least 6 digits to enter.
