Purchase Cellebrite UFED Ultimate / PA
I am new to the forum (not new to the industry though), thanks for accepting my application!
We are a data recovery company from Germany, mainly specialized in harddrives and board-level repairs/recovery of mobile devices.
We are looking to purchase UFED but so far had no luck, especially trying to purchase from Cellebrite directly, as they claim to only sell to government authorities.
Is there any way to buy a legitimate updateable license for commercial recovery companies as we are?
I would recommend for you to contact Oxygen Forensics.
You should try Oxygen Forensic Detective trial version. I believe it would satisfy all your needs.
thanks for your reply.
Can you let me know what brings you to that suggestion? From my perspective OFD is a very mighty tool, but UFED - imho - has always been a step ahead regarding the support of new devices.
Am I wrong here?
From my perspective, there's no such thing as "The Best" forensic software. Each has its own advantages.
Have you tried going trough a reseller? Having dealt with Cellebrite in the past, they are a pain to deal with, even when you're government. For what's it's worth, I've seen private entities with a Cellebrite dongle in the past.
Thanks for your ideas everybody,
will try the reseller route now.
Each and every company got it's style for business, including Cellebrite. Before arguing on their business model and how they do things, one thing is sure, they do something very good regarding their marketing and sales.
The private clients are limited buying certain products, but those you wouldn't buy anyway ) I talk about UFED Premium or Analytics Enterprise.
I sent you a PM.
Each and every company got it's style for business, including Cellebrite.
And each and every company may have either a customer friendly or a senselessly complex style, including Cellebrite, though it seems to me (you see, opinions are - at least at the moment - free speech) that they excel in the second, though - to be fair - almost *any* provider connected - directly or indirectly - with digital forensics tend to suck (and suck big) in customer attention and care.
All in all, their (most - not all - of them) marketing departments remind me of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation ones
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy defines the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes," with a footnote to the effect that the editors would welcome applications from anyone interested in taking over the post of robotics correspondent.
Curiously enough, an edition of the Encyclopedia Galactica that had the good fortune to fall through a time warp from a thousand years in the future defined the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who were the first against the wall when the revolution came."
Hi Troy ) I also sent him a message that I can help him with the purchase, but no answer. Maybe it is not so important…
thanks again for your replies )
I am already in contact to a reseller and only saw your message after that passcode. Anyway, thank you so much for offering your help. It is highly appreciated!
