About Me

Greetings, I'm Mitch Lang.

My professional odyssey commenced under the guidance of the United States Marine Corps, where I seized the opportunity to become an electronics technician. Following a period of extensive learning and travel, destiny led me to the enchanting garden city of Missoula, Montana. Navigating the challenges of transitioning from military life, I sustained myself by repairing copy machines to make ends meet. A serendipitous encounter with a police officer offering mentorship prompted me to volunteer at the Missoula Police Department in 2009.

After months of dedicated work involving database entry and learning, a rare chance materialized for me to serve as an officer in the Garden City. In 2015, as a newly appointed detective, I reignited my fervor for technology, delving into the integration of traditional investigations, evidence, and technology. This synergy proved to be an incredibly effective tool, providing context and visualizing data through powerful demonstrative exhibits, a practice that continues to shape investigations today.

Fast forward to the present, and I've evolved into a seasoned professional, testifying in digital forensics, crafting numerous demonstrative exhibits, investigating thousands of cases, and honing the art of storytelling through digital forensics and geolocation analysis.
