Have a client that is potentially looking for some work based around extracting data from a vehicle "black box" device. The vehicle is a 2017 Chevy Trax.

If you have the capability to potentially perform such work, please contact me. Thank you.

Berla Corporation in the states might be able to help you.

Just in case you aren't aware, you may find it helpful to get your examiner to confirm source of data

1) Event Data Recorder (EDR) vehicle activity.

2) Infotainment (e.g. bluetooth, calls, texts etc) via in-vehicle access software (MyLink?)

Also confirm if your client

3) Has a subscription to 'OnStar' where additional data maybe stored.

Most of the traffic guys I know use Bosch to extract data from the Crash Data Recorder.

If its not an LE matter you might try reaching out to an insurance company and ask about who they use as private contractors to do their reconstructions. I'm sure they have something that would pull the data.

Berla is for the infotainment system and telematics. You can get speeds, hard breaking, seat belt and headlight data on supported models. When you contact them they will get your info, reach out to their customers and ask them if they would be willing to assist you. They wont just provide a list of names to choose from.

Bets of luck in your search.

JStigs comments by hcso1510 are quite right, Bosch software and hardware is popular for vehicle crash data. I checked at a few of the Bosch hardware and software sites and whilst certain models of Chevrolet could be tested for CDR data, Chevrolet Trax was not mentioned, so maybe fire off an email to Bosch might help.

Berla does infotainment and telematics data recovery and that data is assessed to determine influencing any accident (driver distraction, etc.) but I am under the impression they could refer you to others who might be able to help.

Good luck.
