I've recently, this last year, changed jobs. My new job doesn't have anything to do with computer forensics as opposed to my last job, but all my course work and research is in cf. If I'm going to continue with my PhD, I've got to find a way to combine my current position and computer forensics.
Current position I now work for the mobility research department of the Army Corp of Engineers. Here are a few examples of the work we do. We do a lot of no-go/go scenarios for different vehicles in different parts of the world. We do some r&d with robots and autonomous vehicles. We are building a virtual environment for testing robot mobility.
It doesn't have to be a tight fit, but it does has to have some correlation if I'm going to convince them to let me do it at work.
Any suggestions?
I can see quite a few avenues
-What if your logistics systems was attacked externally by the enemy? You would be poised to respond.
-What if your command was infiltrated? You would be the go-to analyst.
-What if a system was brought on-line that was compromised and was designed to report to a CandC server? You would already have the training and experience to mitigate the threat.
Should I go on?
