I was looking at the CFTO website and noticed the following HARDWARE
requirements for their course
Minimum Requirements
Newer PC with latest updates and BIOS
Windows 2000 or XP Operating system (Vista is currently being tested for compatibility issues)
Internet access
512 MB (or more) memory
2 GB or larger hard disk drive for examination purposes
Integrated PS/2 ports (Not USB Keyboard or Mouse)
2 open USB 2.0 ports
Does anyone know WHY they require PS/2 keyboard and mouse?
Thanks for any and all replies.

Not sure why.. but I guess that it could be due to the fact that windows keeps track of USB devices in the registry and they didn't want to "contaminate" the registry with USB mouse and keyboard entries..
Some operating systems have headaches around USB devices, and older BIOS does not support it directly, and would require software drivers.
I am guessing that could be a reason.
I am not sure why the requirement since they are asking for MS Win.
Ok…sounds good to me. Thanks
