DoD Cyber Crime Center Host the 10th Annual DoD Cyber Crime Conference
Defense Crime Center, Linthicum, Maryland -The 10th Annual DoD Cyber Crime Conference, sponsored by the DoD Cyber Crime Center will be held Jan. 21-28, 2011 at the Hyatt Grand in Atlanta, Georgia.
Leaders from government and industry will discuss all aspects of computer crime intrusion investigations, cyber crime law, digital forensics, and information assurance as well as the research, development, testing and evaluation of digital forensic tools. The goal of this year’s conference is for attendees to learn and share processes as well as prepare for the future.
This year's conference theme, Cyber Hunters Predators and Prey…. explores the ever-increasing ways criminals are finding to threaten personal and institutional security and how individuals and organizations can combat and prevent these threats. Come learn from the experts about the most sophisticated tools and techniques available for exposing and preventing cyber crime and how they can be applied to today's operating systems and networks.

This conference covers the full spectrum of topics in the Cyber Security field and involves all the key protectors and defenders in the fight against Cyber Crime” stated SA (Ret) Jim Christy— Director, Futures Exploration Defense Cyber Crime Center, Commonwealth Research Institute.
There will be an exposition taking place during the conference and will feature almost 50 related agencies and companies. One of the many activities taking place in the exposition hall is a silent auction to benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploded Children (NCMEC).
The conference is open to all federal, state and local law enforcement officials and educators, as well as DoD Civilians and DoD-sponsored contractors working in the following fields Counterintelligence Special Agents, Criminal Investigators, Computer Forensics Examiners, Prosecutors, DoD Information Assurance/Systems Administrators, Computer Forensics, and Research and Development Personnel Government representative of Australia, Canada, the UK or New Zealand may also attend. The Jan. 25 plenary session and exposition will be open to the media free of charge. The conference breakout sessions are closed to the media, but all media and conference attendees will receive a conference CD containing the majority of the conference presentations in PowerPoint. All attendees, including media must register for the conference.
