I would like to purchase from someone a seat they aren't using to Encase On Demand or share a seat part time. The training offered by Encase is just too expensive when I doubt that I will get the value because I have been working with their software for over two years. It is a gamble but am willing to come out of pocket to buy a set from someone.

You can't sell a portion of a seat or a date for a seat, etc.

As far as the cost, if you want to be in CF you have to pay the price. That's what everyone who has been around awhile keeps telling all the new people who think that they can jump in and make the big $$$. There are lots and lots of cost associated with having a CF business and getting those classes on your CV.

Training is going to run you 2500-3500 per class or on a training pass $5k. One thing I have heard from recruiters is that they don't put as much stock in online classes as they do in going in person to classes (even though it's the same material) because going to the classes shows initiative, being there in person means that you were there for the classes and not just turning on the feed and then leaving the room, etc.

Attending a course in whatever form shows initiative, so I don't think that's a valid reason to disadvantage someone who's taken the course online. I have to say I am wary of giving weight to any course which does not have some significant hurdle to successful completion other than the price of admission.

I guess passing the EnCE would be the hurdle you refer to, but I hear you.

Having recently taken the On Demand Forensics 1 class and then the in-person Forensics 2 class - I can definitely I got more out of the in-person class, but i think it's a matter of preference. The main downfall of the On Demand class is that you can't ask questions or ask for additional real-world examples of things like you could in person.

They also seem to drrraaaaagggg on stupid things that you dont have to deal with in the real class. The WORST part is when they ask you to click on things, type things, or scroll down. Something that would take you .5 seconds to do on a real computer takes 5 minutes in the video.
