Anyone done this? Is it worth the money?
I managed to get hold of a student discount for this and would like to know if its worth it and if I can go straight to 'Computer Forensics II'? What are people's experiences with this?
Thanks
It is but use the other study guides as well. One from Guidance as a PDF. The Steve Bunting book and print out the entire manual for EnCase 6.15.
They give you lots of files to "play with" and you are not tied to just the OnDemand curriculum.

If you wanted to do the EnCE, Computer Forensics I and Computer Forensics II are pre-requisites.
Other than that Im not sure how much you would miss out on by not doing CF I without checking the syllabus. I think 'on demand' you would have time to workout problems/things you did nt know about the interface etc.

Re EnCE, I was under the impression that if you had the experience that the training was optional. Also, the site and the application form don't specify which training you need.

Yeh 12 months experience, im sure that used to be higher.
Without that it now looks like just 64 hours of any recognised training, I thought this used to be the CFI and II courses - perhaps not.
The certification is based upon the practical computer forensic skills and knowledge presented in Guidance Software’s Computer Forensic I and Computer Forensic II courses
And the test is $1000 with out the training - $200 with.
