Hello again all
quick update on my idea for my final project.
I ordered a cable which allows me to connect a USB to my phone (Samsung Galaxy note 4).
I have connected it up and the USB has powered up and I am able to view the files on my USB on the android device with USB debugging mode disabled.
I have done some research and struggled to find anything on a auto running a program as the USB is connected.
I did find however that once the cable is connected it automatically opened the files that are present on the USB.
This has got me thinking that with a written program on the USB and one touch of the screen I may be able to do a copy of the phone.
Any more thoughts??
Thanks

Which most probably is the "My Files" default behaviour on some Galaxy Note Phones ?

Do you mean "file copy" or "forensic copy"? (or physical extraction)
The point is still if it is possible for a program running in the "original" phone OS environment to access the physical device hosting the data.
This would still be a "dd-like" tool of some kind running in the Android OS, as hinted earlier
