Hey all ,
M a bit of computer maniac and have tried a lot of stuff on it ,
When it comes to computer forensics ave done a course of Cyber Crime Investigator , But I feel that it is giving me a complete idea of computer forensics .
My goal is actually to become a good cyber forensics investigator in my country , so i want to master this field and learn all i could learn from you more experienced and smarter ppl then me .
Wanted a guidline from where i should start ? Can ne 1 help ?

Step one Have moneys, or know someone who will give you moneys.
Step two Take classes. University or vendor (Guidance, AccessData, etc)
Step Three ???
Step Four Profit

Well thansk for advice .. But money is always a problem ..and m still a student so earning is a bit of issue for me and my family belongs to lower middle class so no hope from parents …

Hi!

I think you have a couple of options. As stated above, training classes is one way. Another way is to choose to start with open source tools.

The software from the market leaders is rather expensive, so for you in a phase where you have to pay for the software yourself - I think a more open source way could be preferred.

There are some tools that are not open source, but still is freely available - such as the FTK Imager, and such tools are well worth to use frequently.

I would recommend to find a book or two here http//syngress.com/digital-forensics/

Hope this was somewhat helpful - Occasionally I too feel like Alice - tumbling down the rabbit hole.
