Hi there,
I am new to the field of Computer Forensics, though I have many years of experiences in computer/network technology in general.
I am considering EnCase Forensics II training in a classroom setting but having not done the "I" training, I wonder if there are books out there that can help me prepare for it other than spending a couple of grand on the EnCase online training?
Thanks in advance!

It was a number of years ago since I attended both courses within several months of each other, but in my experience, the II course reviews the I course in the first day but it took 4 days for the same info in the I course. With your technology background, you would be fine to attend the II course without playing any catch-up at all! The main stuff you go over in I is very basic FAT and a lot of Encase "navigation" which you will already understand after a brief look at the manual.
If it were me, I would save the cash you would spend on the I course for something more advanced after the II course - a SANS class, Advanced Internet Exams, an FTK class, Blackbag Mac class, etc…that would also help broaden your new skillset.
Hope this helps!
Thanks guys!
I have found the book and it's also good to know that I won't be missing out on much on the "I"
For me a new journey has started )
