Does anyone know where I can go for information on the web about the courses offered/cost/etc. at the National Computer Forensics Institute in Hoover, Alabama? The website I found that was previously associated with it (ncfi.usss.gov) is no longer valid. All I can find are press releases talking about the institute opening. We are LE personell looking for low cost training (budgeting was cut this year) and I heard that some of the training costs are covered. Is the only way to gather information to call your local USSS office? Just looking for some estimates of cost, and I don't really want to hassle them about that. Thanks in advance.

pronie2121,

Thanks for the info! We have had some issues with our network over at County IT and that may have had something to do with my problems accessing the site. I was able to follow your links. I appreciate you looking into this for me.

Has anyone gone to any of the classes offered at the NCFI? If so, what are your opinions on the classes? How do they compare to others you have been to? Thanks in advance for the input.

I highly recommend their classes. The course is taught with hands-on instruction with very relevant material in each of the offered subjects.

Excelent training. There is no cost to you or your agency for tuition, room and board, or meals. It is all paid for by the service. You need to contact you local field office and ask them to nominate you.

I attended the Network Intrusion Course there.
