Are you going?
I will be there tomorrow only, so send me a Private Message before 0600EDT tomorrow, we can swap cards. I often have to to farm out work all around the country, and can use contacts. mrgreen
I will fill in the rest of you, on what fun you have missed.
What were your thoughts on this? I was given a free pass and decided to pop in for the first half of the first day. Perhaps my opinion was tainted by my loathing of Hotel Pennsylvania (every inch of that hotel smells like feet) but I wasn't impressed. It wasn't very organized, things started later than they should have, two of the sessions I attended ended earlier than they should have, and overall the topics just weren't that interesting.
I guess it depends on where you are in your career, but I would not go again - even with a free pass.
jhup,
Curious to see your response on this. I attended one several years ago, and it was the worst event I have ever attended. I also have never seen one positive comment about it…
They've certainly got an "interesting" web site. http//
It's the third year I've been aware of this show, and the third year I've noticed the strap-line
"IMAGINE THE ABILITY TO VIEW ANYTHING THAT EVER APPEARED ON ALMOST ANY COMPUTER"
Yeh, just imagine it! lol
Good location - right off of Penn station. Could not ask for a better place. I took Amtrak and I just walked across the street. Perfect.
I attended several of the legal discussions on the first day.
I was unable to attend the second day.
I think the presentations were more geared toward electronic discovery than digital forensics.
The presentations I attended were all good reminders, and each contained some nuggets.
I would probably try to get the vendors a bit more toward digital forensics and eD, and allow the presenters a bit more time.
