I am completing my thesis for a Masters in Information Assurance. I am investigating the feasibility of using assurance cases as a tool for presenting evidence from digital forensics investigations.
I need some participants who are active in digital forensics investigations, especially the final reporting phase, to participate in an evaluation of the use of assurance cases.
The evaluation process would consist of reviewing a report or write-up of a forensic investigation and also the corresponding assurance case and then answering a questionnaire about your experience with the assurance case format. The entire process should take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.
The preliminary results have been very encouraging and I hope to be presenting a new tool to aid in reporting.
