Hello all, I live in California and I have a background in Crime Scene Investigations. I have worked for two police agencies as a field response investigator. I am interested in entering the field of computer forensics. I am looking for training here in California which has some type of Certification or recognized by Law enforcement. I have looked into Encase's training and a certificate program offered through Cal State Fullerton. I have heard that Encase has good training, but it seems very expensive. The certification at Cal State Fullerton is new and I do not know if it is what agencies are looking for. Any advice of what direction I should head in would be appreciated.
Thank you

I am in the Fullerton program right now. If you have no experience in CF, this would be a good place to start. I have been in the field for a little over 7 years so while it is a bit basic, I have seen it as a good refresher and I have learned a number of things I have incorporated into my daily work.
I believe that in the past they have had a class on preparing your CV and interview techniques.
