Hi ya,
Has anyone completed the process to become a Visa Qualified Forensic Investigator?

Laura
There is no such thing as a "Visa Qualified Forensic Investigator" Just a list of preferred contacts.
Regards
There's a PDF from Visa here http//
Mitch.. there is such thing as a company to become a Visa QFI.. as there is company which are have QSA status.
I'm in the middle of completing an application for this additional Forensic service that will be offered by our company.
Thanks Jonathon, I am aware about the list of QFI contacts in Europe.
Thanks again for you help…
I would have thought it perhaps unlikely that any Visa Qualified Forensic Investigators would want to share any information that could help competitors become Visa Qualified Forensic Investigators?
Jonathon,
There's a PDF from Visa here http//
www.visaeurope.com/documents/ais/qualified_forensic_investigators_contact_list_13012009.pdf which refers to "Visa Europe Qualified Forensic Investigators" which may or may not help?
I'm not entirely sure I see how that response helps answer Laura's question. Maybe I'm a bit slow, but could you help me out here?
Thanks,
h

No.

To directly answer your question, while I was on a QIRA-certified team here in the US until June 2009 (we purposely dropped off the list), we'd become certified several years before, and I was not part of that process. However, if memory serves, the primary requirement was QSA-certified individuals…which I have always found odd, because the QSA certification is specifically for assessors, and anyone doing the IR/DF work has to put in a LOT of additional work on forensic assessments.
