I posted here previously prior to my retirement. Last year at this time most DoD contractors would hire you without an active security clearance. Now however most solid employers in my area want an active security clearance. Despite my experience the job search has been rather slow. Please forward this accordingly if you know of anyone hiring.
A line of duty injury caused me to retire on July 15th as a detective and computer forensic examiner with the Baltimore County Police Department. As a result I am currently seeking either a full time position or contractual side work in the MD / DC / VA area. I have my own licensed copy of EnCase, Write Block Devices, etc. I am Guidance Software (EnCE) and IACIS (CFCE) Trained. All ASCLD/LAB proficiency testing is up to date and current.
My area of expertise includes forensic acquisition, recovery, investigation and analysis of data from desktop computers, laptop computers, cell phones, network and various other computer storage devices. I am proficient in the use of several computer and cell phone forensic tools. I have extensive training and experience dealing with the Rules of Evidence, the Fourth Amendment and being an Affiant / Co-Affiant on official court documents.
I have more than 12 years experience as a police officer in a uniformed, undercover, criminal investigator and computer forensic examiner capacity.
I have four years of direct involvement as a Criminal Investigator and Computer Forensic Examiner investigating the crimes of Child Pornography, Internet Child Exploitation, Human Sex Slavery, Prostitution and Unlawful Gambling & Sports Book.
I have four years of supportive involvement as a Criminal Investigator and Computer Forensic Examiner in the crimes of Kidnapping, Arson, Embezzlement, Homicide, Theft, Child Abuse, Harassment, Stalking, Narcotics Distribution as well as Internal Affairs Investigations.
I have successfully investigated cases on a local and federal level. Based on my investigations and computer examinations, I have given court testimony in Baltimore County District Court, Baltimore County Circuit Court and U.S. Federal Court.
