Rates vary widely in the US depending on location, skills, client, services requested. Also, at least in the US, discussing actual rates can lead to accusations of price fixing so quoting real numbers is generally avoided.
When I got started, I looked at the web sites of other forensic companies and found enough that had posted their rates to get a good sense of what was reasonable.
I also talked with some friends who were lawyers to find out what they generally paid for forensics services and found that I was under charging in some cases. Some clients expect to pay a certain rate and if you charge less you'll be leaving money on the table, or could even fail to win the job because the potential client equates your low rate with inexperience.
