Hi,

My apologies if this question has been asked before - I did try a forum search but didn't find any results that jumped out as what I was looking for. I was wondering if anyone out there had recommendations for good sites advertising DF job opportunities ? My background is primarily software development, but I do have a little over 1 year of DF investigation experience under my belt )

I know opportunities are a little thin on the ground currently, with the economic situation as it is, but I'd like to try and find the best places to keep an eye on for when things do start to pick up again. Oh and I'm based in the UK by the way.

Cheers,

PhilH

I think the two best UK based agencies/recruiters are;

David Sullivan, Appointments-UK
Scott Burkeman, Warner Scott Recruitment

Both of these guys advertise postions on this forum, but would be worth making contact with them and building a relationship so they can send you things before they get into the public domain.

Thanks for the input guys D I must admit I've tended to avoid recruiters in the past, but maybe it's time to reconsider since the job market is so tight currently ?

Hi Phil,

I am a recruiter in this area and, to be frank, we don't advertise our open roles much any longer as with the amount of information available to our researchers we tend to know who works where and can then approach suitable people directly for specific roles.

However, when we do advertise for CF roles it is either on this forum or Linkedin (where the number of job postings are rapidly increasing). I would also keep an eye on the better generalist boards such as CWjobs or Jobsite as occasionally jobs are posted there that you won't find anywhere else.

On your other point I agree it is a good move steering clear of recruiters. I wouldn't trust them myself - apparently some even eat small children….

However, if used as part of a balanced strategy specialist recruiters can provide useful information about current market conditions/trends/salaries etc based on concrete facts, even if you don't use them to represent you for specific roles.

With a side order of chips and ketchup I presume ? wink

I tend to keep a close eye on these forums, and I am actually a member of LinkedIn but haven't really explored the job postings on there to-date - I'll make sure I have a look on there.

Many thanks for the info,

Phil H

Have you checked Dice.com? I know I have seen that there are listings for CF there.
