Although I really like forensics, it is a pain to get a decent position. Because of the specialization there are fewer positions, and appropriately more qualified people will fill them. Would you seniors please retire?!? lol

Ultimately I think I will have to start a private business.

My real gripe is exacerbated because I am trying to find something closer to my home -
Calls and e-mails I get for jobs have little to do with my resume. I often want to get rude with the poor soul who can barely speak English asking if I want a 6-month contract job, somewhere in the middle of nowhere, in a role that has little to do with my background, for a joke of a pay.

The other day I had three calls, all very similar, clearly not fitting if someone took the time to read my resume. But, because the key word search got hits, I was called.

It is a real test not to lash out at the poor caller…

… Oh well …

Greetings,

Where in the US are you? PM me, I've been in a very similar situation and am working on a possible solution, though it is still very much in the planning stages. I'd quite appreciate your thoughts on it.
