Hey I find this field fascinating and see very huge potential.

My background is I'm 52, and have a rather extensive knowledge of financial systems, from back office operations to floor trading.

Currently I am employed in the bank equipment area but see the large growth opportunity in this field.

Any suggestions to an semi old guy like me of where to begin?

Thanks

J

J,
I am assuming that if you sell bank equipment you may not actually be employed at a bank? With the knowledge you described I would think you would be a good candidate for a job with bank security. The bank you choose may have opportunities in the field of forensics?

Just a thought.

Hi J,

Maybe you can start with the Security+ from CompTIA and then the Ec-councils CHFI course.

Your best bet may be to talk to someone who works in the security field in the bank.

CISA and CISM may also be worth having a look at as well.
