I will be interviewing with KPMG soon, are there any tips you guys would give? I'm going to be doing a bit of research on the company just to give myself a cushion when it comes to talking but are there any specific questions I should ask during the interview when the time comes?

As with any potential future employer, you will want to ask questions about the team you would be joining, how many team members there are, their experience levels, the type of work, the hours, the culture, etc.

Specifically to the Big 4, you may want to ask if the work is "forensics" or "e-discovery" (if that is the position that you are interviewing for, it's likely to be a blend) and in what amounts, using what tool sets. You may be interviewing for a "forensics" position but actually find much of your time is spent extracting files from images for e-discovery processing without any real "forensic" analysis.

You may also want to know the background of people that you'll be working with, forensics folks in the Big 4 run from ex-law enforcement to people fresh out of school with a comp sci degree.

I would also suggest asking about the training opportunities, as many times there is a budget, but it is rarely used as you may be consistently staffed on projects without time to attend training courses.

Good luck.
