Below is my resume that I have constantly updated over the years. By the looks of it, is it worth it to compile a CV as well?

(I do not believe posting my resume in this fashion is against forum policy, but I apologizes if it is.)

In general (in the US), CV's are more often used for academic or research positions where publications and grants are part of the evaluation process.

Most corporate HR types would probably not know how to read a CV and would not bother with the detail if they did.

Besides, unless you have some outstanding accomplishments that simply won't fit into resume format, a sparse CV can look worse than an spares resume.

Do yourself a favour, and urgently. Remove your personal details.

Thank you, I didn't even think of that.

When you called by a prospective client, they generally ask for your CV and your rate sheet.

A resume is not something they want. The CV should not be a small book, but should cover RELEVANT CF career moves, lectures, classes, written materials, news media coverage, etc. Some people say you should include people or firms you have done work for. IMHO I wouldn't include that, as I have been a victim of someone taking those references and calling them to attempt to take business away from me.

If the CV is too short i.e. lack of training, it will likely get disposed of (unless you get a kind attorney who will give you that first shot, who we all are thankful for.) in the same sense if it carries on for pages and pages and includes things which have nothing to do with computers or CF then they sometimes interpret that as how you may talk to a jury or judge and pitch it also.

Hope that helps.

Just my opinion.
