My name is Jeremi, and I have decided to "give back" with a career change. I have an AS degree in Electronic Engineering and have over 7 yrs with experience troubleshooting, repairing , and prototying I/O communication board, custom PC's, and audio/video equipment. Currently I work as an Electronics Engineering Tech.Would it be better for me to start a new degree to get my foot into the door of computer/digital forensics or is ther any certifications I should start with that does not require on job expereince in the feild? What should I be looking for to get my foot into the door? I have tried calling and emailing local police forces with forensic departments for some suggested help but to no prevail ( seems like no one want to give out any information). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jeremi
