Hello,
I have an interview with the Police this Tuesday. It's a Computer Forensic Technician position. My next door neighbour is an ex-senior police officer so I had a lengthy chat with him today. This was to get a better idea of what the Police are looking for, and how to answer questions.
I'm making a list of questions they might ask to prepare, with 3 bullet point answers I can fire back for each. Has anyone got any other idea's for questions they may include?
• Why do you want to join the police?
• Why Computer Forensics?
• Why should we employ you?
• Where do you see yourself in a few years?
• What have you done to prepare?
• Computer Forensic Legislation
• Health & Safety
• Diversity
• Media Intimidation
• Terrorism
• Lack of experience
• Salary
I've removed my answers. wink
Thanks for any tips! )
Hi
You need to get a copy of the behavioral competencies that the Police use. A lot of the generic questions will be based around these. They cover things like
Respect for Race & Diversity
Effective Communication
Openness to Change
etc etc
If you do a bit of Google you will find them online. A quick search turned up

Give examples for nearly all questions….Google STAR (Situation, Task , Action, Result). Revise your answers like crazy…..
Check the job description that you have been given and make sure you show how your experience is relevant. Revise your basic bread and butter stuff (COC/ Continuity, ACPO guidelines)
All the best.
Cheers for the link. There was some useful information on there.
