Several months ago a case about cyber bullies drove a pretty young girl Cindy to suicide. What a tragedy! Her parents were so sad and asked for help to unlock her daughter's iPhone. They wanted to know the truth why she suicide and who did this do her. The only clue was inside her iPhone, but it's locked. Some warmhearted people wanted to offer some help. They were not IT professionals, and also they were not forensic experts. They just want to help her parents to do whatever they could.
The model of her phone was iPhone 6. A guy made a phone call to her brother and went to her home. This guy and her brother took a guess on the passcode with combination of her personal info and passwords she may used. Fortunately they unlocked her iPhone 6 successfully so her parents could know what happened to their daughter.
Did Apple show up and offer any help? No, Apple was busy making money. I think Apple would say that they don't have the "key", and there is nothing they could do about that iPhone 6.
Apple may claim that they want to protect privacy. Let's cut the crap. Don't tell me that the most important thing in the world is "Privacy". If you were Cindy's brother/sister, you would know how brokenhearted it would be.
Apple should never sit idle if criminals take advantage of iPhone's strengthened encryption. Apple should take its responsibility to cooperate with LE, and stop pretending that's none of Apple's business.
Cool story, brah!
Cool story, brah!

in this case (exceptionally) which part is a "cool story" and which part is (possibly) not might be difficult to understand ? .

Well, in either case the suicide is clearly a tragedy, and bullying is bad. In the op's story, it was kind and admirable of the two willing participants to help guess the obviously easy password so that the parents could have access, but it was over the top and ridiculous to expect, demand, or use peer pressure to bully apple or anyone else (you, me, etc.) into involuntary servitude.
… but it was over the top and ridiculous to expect, demand, or use peer pressure to …
Maybe ? , but I was only referring to the story as being (possibly) a "cool story" as it happened (IMHO) before, you know like wink
