foremost and Scalpel produce alot of output, both wanted and unwanted. This tool helps remove the unwanted output.
Simply run an MD5 Hash on the Output of Scalpel or Formost by using "md5tree" or "md5sum" (or use my Carver on my site that does it all for you)

As I work to create new utilities for Law Enforcement, Data Recovery and Incident Response teams. I have redesigned my Database Application to greatly improve its performance. I was able to Remove over 1200 benign files from 2700 total files in less than 2 minutes, hen examining a Freshly installed XP system and carving for Jpg and Gif's.

The Carver has support for removing the Benign Operating System files from the following

Microsoft
Windows 95
Windows 98
Windows ME
Windows 2000
Windows XP
Windows Vista

Apple
OS X 10.1
Mac Leopard

Linux
Fedora 8 32bit
Ubunto 7.10
Kubunto 6.06
Suse 10.1

go here to download the demo of the MD5 Database Xabersoft

I am considering changing the demo limit to use Windows XP instead of Windows 2000 let me know if you would like to test it out comparing Windows XP instead.

Hi,

I haven't had a go with your tool yet but as a user of Foremost from time to time I think this is going to be useful in the future.

Thanks,

Steve
