alex101 there have been articles/reports written, but I am assuming you know those and are indicating a form of "Dummies Guide to……"?
If that is what you meant I haven't seen one.
That's just what I'm suggesting that someone could produce (just didn't want to insinuate that anyone here was a dummy lol )
I am aware that I've taken this thread a little off topic (sorry).
Would it be worth building a simple website where people can share absolute addresses and compile that into a database. Which can be made available here or as part of the website.

I try and see what can be done, but no promises as I have heavy commitments at present.

A good idea - let's see what Jamie thinks
I don't suppose anyone has the absloute addresses for a Nokia 2610 and 3410?

I'm sure efforts in this direction would be widely appreciated.

What fields would you need in the database? I could throw something together quite quickly which does what you need.

I think if enough people would find it useful (and this thread seems to suggest that) then it's certainly something we can/should do. Would it work as a static page of info (with updates being sent to me) rather than a database to be queried?
Jamie
Would it be worth creating it as a general knowledge database for other handsets and not just Nokias? Could include tools (software/hardware) for each handset as well as memory ranges.
considering the amount of phones (all makes and models) a searchable database would be the best course of action. Nothing fancy. Would be useful to have related resources in the same place.
