The ones we use have the sms traffic monitored incoming and outgoing, so I’m not sure what you might need from the physical device itself? The facility should have all the communications. Find out who put the devices in the facility. Securus and GTL are the two biggies in inmate communication management, but there are a few lesser ones as well. You might call them and ask if they could tell you what tools could be used to extract the data, but the facility should have all of that.
